HWI Painted Slotted Angles brand HWI has been registered to comply with Thai  Industrial Standard TIS. 659-2529 since the 17th of July 2003. It has been  recognized as the first and the only one brand who registered for the standard (Latest Checked date on Jan 3, 2012). The slotted angle helps you build an efficient framing system for a variety of uses from household to industrial applications.

The TIS standard specified types, sizes and tolerances, material and manufacture, requirements, mark and label, sampling and criteria for conformity and testing as following.

  1. Raw material must be made by cold forming from hot-rolled mild-steel  strip with required mechanical properties. As tensile strength shall be not less than 270 Mpa, and elongation not less than 27% and bending property shall be no cracks or fracture at the outside of the bent portion.

  2. Conformity control refers to appearance, straightness and squareness. The appearance is  free from defects that are detrimental to application and from distortion and visual  inspection. Length is deviated  +/- 2 mm. Straightness is not deflected exceed  5mm. and  Squareness  is deviated not exceed 3°

  3. With Electrostatic varnishing process for paint finish, it is subjected to a minimum temperature of 140 Celcius for not less than 20 minutes.The paint coating is of good and uniform workmanship, the film thickness  being not less than 20 Micron and it shall not crack, split or fall off.
